In the early 1980’s, the company founder Simon Weiming Wu worked for reputed Engineering Consultant Firms as a Licensed Professional Engineer. His responsibilities included designs and inspections of commercial and residential buildings, and other Civil/public structures.
In the late 1980, Mr. Wu then started his own home inspection service. Due to the rapid growth of the business, he later incorporated Simon Hometech Inc. in 1989.
In the boom years that followed, he led the company into Home Inspection arena and broadened the company offerings to include the services such as: Commercial Building Inspection services, Termite Inspection, Environmental Inspections, and Special Structural and Foundation Damage Inspection. All these years, the company maintains its focus in providing our clients with thorough in-depth high-quality home inspection services.
Due to his knowledge and expertise in structural engineering and home inspection, Mr. Wu also educates and trains other inspectors. He is a certified NYS Home Inspection Instructor. Simon Hometech Inc. remains a strong local presence offering home inspection services to home buyers and sellers as well as litigation inspection services to mortgage lenders, brokers, and law firms.
Currently, Simon Hometech Inc. has three (3) full time Inspectors and a full time Office Manager, Pauline who is standing by to answer your questions and to coordinate the appointments.
